South Korean designers have quite a distinct way when it comes to lines and inspiration. In today´s global era, there is a mix of influences, but there is something different about Korean fashion, for a European mind like mine. Something that at times, makes me pay a closer look.
Living and working here has made me appreciative of things that I might have otherwise not necessarily paid attention to. Realizing that there is always plenty of art and inspiration if you know how to look. The still young fashion scene in Seoul likes to experiment and try different things and by default so have I. Getting into different concepts, brands, and creations, which at one point might have felt very foreign to me.
On this project, styling the cover shoot for an independent magazine, based in Seoul. You might see styles and pieces that I might originally not have gone for. This project is a result of stepping out of my comfort zone and thinking outside of the box, at least, my box. Letting go of my previous standards of beauty I might have ended up falling in love with new ones and discovering a different side of my creativity.
