Through this editorial, we told the story of a solo traveler and her adventures. A woman who decided to pack her things and go alone into the unknown. A woman who pushes to get out of her comfort zone to live the different experiences and situations that you go through when disembarking in a new and unfamiliar spot.
A shoot that I slightly related to, through those feelings of dépaysement that I have previously talked about here. That feeling in which everything is at the same time new, exciting and somehow frightening. Through traveling, we are able to explore, learn and widen our horizons, to see everything with a new set of eyes, just like children do.
Traveling pushes our limits and widens our comprehension of the world and different cultures and for those reasons, this shoot holds a special meaning for me. It is special not only because of the visual result and the wonderful crew I had the pleasure to work with. But more so because in my eyes it talks about that feeling we get while traveling and was shot on a city that has definitely pushed all of my limits, making me break yet grow so much.
A city to which I personally once first traveled to and that until now has made me learn a lot about myself, my strengths, my soul, the world and other cultures. A place that has taught me enormously about understanding, patience, and love, independently of the negative. A city that has at the same time made me fall in love and broken my heart over and over again so many times that I have lost count.
A city that has given me its best and its worst. Seoul the city that has pushed me a bit further into the person I am proud of being today.
